The Return of Mark Dyke

Well, look who’s back.

After skipping last UAAP season and was reportedly set to move to FEU, forward Mark Dyke is making a return to the Green Archers this year. This was confirmed by Quinito Henson in his Instagram account. Dyke has already been joining the team in their practice sessions and played during a tune-up match against a Korean squad just recently.

As it turns out, he never proceeded to enroll in FEU even after playing for the Tamaraws’ training team in a minor tournament. After a change of heart, he decided to return to the Green Archers in which he was part of the 2016 UAAP championship team. Since there was no official transfer to another university, he does not require to undergo residency and is eligible to play in September.

In his first year with DLSU, Dyke played in just 7 games averaging 4 minutes and 1.6 points. Let’s hope things go well for him this time around and that he has now fully adjusted to the college game. We look forward to see him regain that form that made him an outstanding prospect coming out of high school.

Also expected to make a comeback this year is bigman JBoy Gob who last saw action back in 2015 but was sidelined for the past two years due to injury.
